Byron Garcia, security consultant at Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center , merely wanted to instill discipline his guys. So they danced, to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” no less, and became one of YouTube’s biggest stars last year. The well-choreographed routine, featuring inmates as zombies and girls in distress, was a sight of orange so wonderful to behold. Garcia uploaded it on YouTube, and the world got to its groove. Media, including Time, CNN, and BBC flocked to CPDRC’s 438th Founding Anniversary just to see them perform live. Watch out for their next routine: “Can’t Touch This” by MC Hammer.
