Broiled Fresh Bangus or Milkfish
Milkfish or “bangus” is the national fish of the Philippines. It is sweet, tasty and you can cook it in several ways. One way is by broiling which fits the taste of every Filipino. You clean the fish by removing the intestines but not the scales. Sprinkle the fish with salt and make a little opening on one side. Insert sliced tomatoes with onions and the bangus wrapped in banana leaves is ready for broiling. When cooked, remove the banana leaves and arrange it on a plate with raw tomatoes. Calamansi with soy sauce will be perfect for dip.
