Tyranny of Time
A co-worker shared to me that for years he had been deprived of the company of his family because he lived away from them. But now that he’s back home, time keeps him from hanging out with them. If he’s home, he’s usually alone locked up in his room so he can work in peace. When he steps out, it’s often because He’s leaving in a rush.
Time is a tyrant. The tyranny of the urgent robs us of time for the essential. We should learn to relax. And learn to “waste” our time on things that really matter.
