Mastitis
Mastitis is an infection of the breast that can be quiet uncomfortable. You may have redness and swelling of the breast, a temperature and feel like you have the flu. This general infection o the breast may be caused by sore cracked nipples or plugged ducts. However, the most common cause of mastitis is stress. As mothers begin to feel better they tend to become more active and begin to do more things outside the home. This puts more stress on their bodies, which are working so hard to make milk. Your body’s response to this stress is the development of mastitis.
