Palms of My Hands

When I was a child, there was a woman, she’s a fool in our small city who roamed around daily asking for money in every people she meets. She is Bernalda. She would roam around the city with tattered clothes, barefooted and ugly looking. Sad to say, men took advantage of her. Some people say she got raped, impregnated here and there. So yearly she bears a child. She had lots of kids from different and nameless men. Looking back now that I'm in my middle age, I remembered Bernalda, the fool in my city. I just thought how many children did she had in her lifetime? Maybe 30 or more? And how any grandkids she had? And where is she now? Is she dead? Alive? Whatever happened to her I will just pray for her.
